Post Big Bear Stampeder Reviews

News

The SPNDX Stampede events are only possible because of the rider's who attend them, and we believe that newcomers who are looking to join a future Stampede should here from the rider's themselves. Each event we hope to better the expirience as we always ask for feedback on how to make them better in anyway.

These events wouldn't be possible without the continued support from our rad Stampeder's!

"This gravel event was game changing for me. It made me remember why I started riding trails in the first place. Such great atmosphere and camaraderie. Thank you so much for the best event I have attended in years."

Thank You,
James Conaway

"This was our 2nd Spndx Stampede event and we're impressed with the value that Jon and the crew bring to an event. Aside from the great riding, there’s a generous swag bag, well stocked aid stations - with mechanical support and coolers full of ice cold Coke, and a good vibe at the finish. We’ll get more of these on our plan for next year, for sure."

"After a hard and grueling long fondo at the Tour de Big Bear, I took a deep breathe of mountain air and joined a bike party at the SPNDX Stampede. It was amazing to get off the beaten path of the asphalt and into the trees and mountains above the lake. I count count how many times I heard YAY BIKES  and how we were having a bike party on the gravel. I loved racing around the area on my road bike the day before, but I sure did love to take away the pressure and soak up a fun day with all my gravel friends. We got rowdy on the bikes and smiled the whole time."

"Thank you so much for a great event! The love and support, from packet pick up to the ice cold towel at the finish line, this ride was amazing. The route was so good and provided just the right amount of suffering. Can’t wait for the next gravel party!!"

“I’ve ridden the fireroads and trails around Big Bear dozens of times for mountain bike races but I’ve never had as much fun as I did last Sunday with the drop bars and SPNDX vibe. I realized it was the first time I’ve enjoyed the scenery up there in the mountains and I couldn’t get the grin off my face”

"Extraordinary ride thru the hills of Big Bear with a mix of nicely groomed gravel roads to fast and easy single track fun. Would I do it again, but of course I would! Ex-Famous Race Car Drive, "NOW" Most Extreme Gravel Grinder"

Thank you,

Tim Schumacher

"I hadn’t ridden those dirt roads for 15+ years, so being out there ripping around took me back to my early years in the sport. It was such a blast being in situations where at times your bike was overmatched with the terrain, but in my opinion, that’s all part of the fun. Sign me up for next year!"

"Glad that WCUP USA was able to help out and that I was finally able to do one of the rides. It's a great event and fills a perfect spot for those that want epic gravel but don't want to suffer for 12 hours or more! My only complaint - wait, I have none!"

-  Sean Kneale

"Thanks for letting Atom Composites be a part of it."
